GENERAL INFORMATION


INSURANCE

VEHICLES

All rentals include a mandatory insurance to cover the damage. This policy includes Third Party Liability, Collision and Comprehensive. This insurance covers customers who travel in Europe. It is forbidden to leave Europe.

EQUIPMENT

YETI’s equipment is covered under general insurance. Any suspected damage from misuse or negligence may be subject to additional fees, repairs or replacements.

OFF ROAD

Our vehicles are built to explore and we encourage you to do so! But keep in mind that you can only drive on official roads, minor roads, unpaved roads, tracks, trails …We enforce a strict NO OFF-ROADING policy.

Taking any of our rental vehicles on off-road areas will violate the insurance and vehicle warranties.

If you get stuck or encounter a maintenance issue you are responsible for any expenses related to the damage (vehicle, tires, and windshield, etc,), as well as towing charges and any additional expenses related to getting the rental vehicle back onto paved roads.

GUEST BELONGINGS

Guest belongings are not covered under any insurance plan. We are not liable for any lost, stolen or damaged customer belongings.

PAYMENT


DEPOSIT

To confirm your reservation, 35% of your booking total is due upon completion of the booking process. Your remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your trip.

PAYMENT

Full payment must be made 4 weeks prior to your booking. This cost would be the full amount minus your booking deposit. If this amount isn't paid, customers risk losing their booking.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

The reservation deposit is non-refundable.

Within 72 hours before departure : 100% of the rent

Within 1 week before departure: 70% of the rent

Within 2 week before departure: 50%of the rent

Within 4 weeks before departure: 35%of the rent

More than 4 weeks before departure: the deposit.

No refunds can be given for early returns. All cancellations must be submitted by email .

Vouchers (gift) are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. If you want to extend the validity for 1 year, an extra charge of 50% of the voucher will be charged. This needs to be done before the expiration date of the voucher.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT

Each rental requires a damage deposit of 2500€ to cover any potential damage to the rental vehicle and/or equipment. Note, we may hold the security deposit for up to 7 days while we assess the vehicle condition.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


Q: How old do I need to be to rent a vehicle?

Drivers must be over the age of 25. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license.

Q: Do I require an international drivers license?

All non European clients are required to have a valid driver's license from their home country and a valid international drivers license.

Q: What is the minimum reservation time?

The minimum rental period is 7 days (6 nights).

Q: Can I pick up or return the vehicle at a later time than specified?

Yes; Early pick-up (before 9AM) is possible on request. Late drop-off (after 16PM) is possible on request. Both are subject to availability and must be agreed upon prior to picking up your vehicle.

Q: Am I limited on the amount of distance I can drive ?

You may drive the vehicle as many KM's as you would like; however, each rental includes 250KM's per night. If you use more than 250KM /night, each additional KM driven over will be charged at 0.25€/KM (Hilux) or 0.35€/KM (HYMER) . Or you can add the option Unlimited Kilometers, for 25€/night Hilux or 50€/night Hymer.

Q: Are we reimbursed for breakdowns / accidents?

If the car is blocked more than 36h, we will reimbursed the remaining days.

Q: What am I responsible for when renting the vehicle?

You are required to use the correct fuel and protect the vehicle against inclement weather. Failure to do so will result in damages due to the customer. While our vehicles have off-road and four-wheel drive it is important to use your best judgment when assessing road conditions and possible hazards.

  • Cleaning - We require that each vehicle be returned in a clean and respectable state, without excessive mud, dirt, dust etc. An extra cleaning fee will be charged to the customer if the vehicle is returned in a state that requires substantial cleaning.

  • Tire Damage - We replace and rotate our tires on a regular basis due to normal wear and tear. All other damages incurred to the wheels and tires are the customer's responsibility. Please use caution when driving on unsealed surfaces, as tires can and do fail, especially if driven at speed or in a reckless manner.

  • Windshield Damage - Any new damage to the windshield is the responsibility of the renter.

  • Paint - 'Pin-striping' to the paint occurs when the vehicle makes contact with brush on overgrown roads. Substantial wear and tear to the paint will result in a detailing fee. Mindfulness of the vehicles dimensions and road conditions can eliminate this issues: When in doubt use a spotter.

  • You are responsible for all equipment included with the vehicle, whether lost or damaged.

Q: What happens if we get lost?

We all get lost from time to time and discovering the correct route is part of the adventure. However to make things as simple as possible, we provide you with directions, maps, gps. With those, you will always get back to your routing. We always know where you are as the vehicles are tracked.

Q: Do we have to camp/bivouac ?

You are always free to choose your overnights : Camp, bivouac, Hotels, Hostels.

Q: Do the tents needs bedding ?

We provide a mattress sheet but you need to bring your own pillow + sheets and sleeping bag.

Q: Do you offer road side assistance?

Our assistance partner provides 24 hour roadside assistance with all our rentals. In the event of any mechanical issues, please contact us immediately.

Q: Are pets allowed?

Pets will be allowed on request with a additional fee for the cleaning : 35€.

Q: Can I smoke ?

Smoking of any kind is not allowed in any of our rental vehicles or roof top tents. No exceptions!

A 250€ fee will be charged if we find any evidence of smoking inside the vehicle or tent.

Please keep all smoking outdoors.
